If you're planning a wonderful afternoon garden wedding, your hairstyle may be more relaxed and casual than at a formal wedding. Loose tussled hair, pulled back softly with a sparkling comb, creates a fresh, wholesome wedding hairstyle. This wedding hairstyle can be achieved with almost all hair types. Curly hair works best though, because the curl holds longer. Shoulder length hair or longer is the best. If your hair is straight, be sure to use a heavy holding hair spray for long lasting curls. Use a medium and a large curling iron to create natural looking, soft romantic curls. To create fullness at the crown of the head, tease the hair and then smooth over the teased crown to create volume.
Finally, take two side sections of hair, pull them back and secure with a comb or barrette. For thin hair add a bit of hair padding to create extra volume at the crown of the head. A hairpiece may also be used to add fullness to the ends. A tiara at the crown would also work well. Also consider a hair comb placed on the side, just above the ear. Your make-up should look soft and romantic. Roses add a romantic touch to a garden. Wedding make-up in the shades of roses gives a fresh glow to a perfect afternoon ceremony amidst a fairy-tale garden.

So many brides are requesting their hair worn down these days, and Lori and her team of stylists created this look with a relaxed, bohemian style in mind.

Finished with a funky, sparkling comb the look is anything but traditional.

Hair Type

Long, straight or wavy hair will work well for this style. If you have short or thin hair, Lori and her team often use extensions. The Custom 18" Hair Extension Set or the Custom 14" Hair Extension Set are dyed to match your own hair and can be placed in the front, back or sides of your head - wherever you need fullness and length.

Body and Texture

The idea is to give the hair an unstructured, tousled look. Our model, Haleigh has fairly straight hair so ModelBride stylists used a large barrel curling iron all over her head to form ringlets.

Stylists then went back through the hair with a crimping iron here and there. Crimping irons are now available with larger waves and the effect is much more natural than the blown out 'dos of the 1980's!

Tease and Twist

Next, the hair was teased at the crown for some height and fullness then the top layer of hair was smoothed over the teased portion. Lori recommends using a light hand here to maintain some texture.

The top and sides were then gently pulled back, twisted and loosely fastened with bobby pins.

Accessories

For a chic finishing touch, the ModelBride stylists chose the Flamenco Crystal Comb, an updated version of a Spanish peineta. It was placed in the hair at an angle in keeping with the relaxed style.

Haleigh is also wearing the Abigail Crystal Pendant Necklace, a great pairing for a v-neck gown.

This is a hairstyle that's appropriate for many hair types - thin or thick, wavy or straight.

For hair with a bit of curl or wave, have your stylist straighten it with a flat iron or blow dryer before beginning. If you have very curly hair you may be better off choosing a style that works with your natural curl instead of against it.

The Long and Short

To begin, our model's hair was pulled into a low pony tail with the bangs out. The ponytail should be at least 6 inches. If it isn't long enough, try a Mini Fall Hair Extension or a Medium Fall Hair Extension to get additional length and fullness.

Weave and Tuck

The pony tail was then divided into several sections and woven together into an oblong bun, tucking and hiding the ends with bobby pins. Our ModelBride stylist added a bit of hair padding to the chignon to give the illusion of fullness and to help give shape to the style.

Finishing Touch

The Gala Grande Hairpin Set adds a dramatic touch to the chignon and our Crystal Drama Drop Earrings add sparkle as well as movement.

In the 1920's "flappers" were the gals with all the style. This is ModelBride's interpretation of that sassy flapper look and high-spirited attitude.

Pair it with lipstick in a daring shade of red or pink!

Look at Length

A chin length, or longer bob is a great length for this style. Our model, Haleigh has longer hair and so our ModelBride stylist simply pinned the excess hair up underneath to create the illusion of a bob cut.

Art Deco Accessories

After sweeping Haleigh's bangs to the side the Bellezza Crystal Mini Barrette was nestled in to accessorize. If you have longer bangs or no bangs at all simply sweep your hair over your forehead for the same effect. The delicate Coeur de Crystal Necklace is a nice complement.

Tools of the Wave

Our ModelBride stylist used a special hot iron to create this effect. A wave iron looks like a straightening tool but has ridges that form the waves with heat.

If you have curly or wavy hair, you'll need to blow dry or iron your hair straight before using the wave iron.

Highlights

No matter what your hair color, consider adding some highlights about three weeks before your wedding date.

Haleigh has subtle reddish highlights in her brunette hair which add contrast to the style and give an added glow to her skin tone.

There are many people wanting to make the transition from these long hairstyles to shorter and cuter cuts, but aren’t sure where to find the popular styles. Well, there is inspiration all around you. Consider searching through hairstyle magazines as well as fashion magazines and even looking through look books and portfolios which are available in salons. Through all of these methods you are able to find inspiration that can be used to create short and cute styles which can be placed in the hair, creating a great effect on your overall appearance. Once the hairstyle has been changed there are many people that enjoy a new sense of confidence, as well as many that have a new sense of their personal style.

As well as searching through magazines, there is also inspiration to be found all around you. The next time that you see someone with a haircut that you like and a style that you think would work for you, ask them about it! It doesn’t hurt to ask about the haircut including where they got the haircut, which stylist to ask for and even the techniques which were used to create the style. Ask if there is a name for the style and even see if there were any particular instructions which were given to the stylist when the haircut was created. This can help you to get the cute short haircut you desire.

Bridal Updos

what kind of bridal updo you want, there are some things that you will have to consider before deciding which bridal updos would work the best for you. You will want to figure out if you want to wear your hair high or low, worn tight onto your head, if you want it to be wavy, if you want bangs, and much more. There are a lot of different bridal updos that you can choose from and the right one varies depending on what kind of look you want to accomplish but different people look good with different bridal updos so you will have to keep that in mind.

http://www.style-hair-magazine.com/image-files/large-bridal-6.jpg

The best thing that you could do would be to look through various wedding magazines and look at the various types of bridal updos that have been worn by the brides in the pictures to see if there is a style that you would like. You also have to remember that the type of hairstyle you choose will have to compliment your dress as well.

http://www.hairstyles-haircuts.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/updo-hair-1-330x495.jpg

For instance, having your hair worn high and tight with a dress without a back would look good but if there were a back, having your hair up and tight probably won`t look that good. Up to half a year before your wedding, make sure that you don`t color, perm, or straighten your hair with a chemical process. You will want to make sure that all of the work done to your hair is done by your stylist so you don`t do any damage that you can`t repair in time for the wedding day because it will probably be the biggest day of your life.

There are sometimes when the perfect wedding hairstyle for the bride or members of the bridal party can be found on the internet, as well as instructions that can be used to complete the perfect style. Although many people may feel as if they are unable to create a style which compares with that one that may be completed by a stylist, styling the bridal hairstyle, through the use of bridal hairstyle pictures, at home – can save a bundle when it comes to the complete costs of the wedding.

There are many blogs, like this one, that include hairstyle instructions for some of the most popular styles. Through these instructions, you are able to determine which styling tools as well as which styling products are required in order to complete the hairstyle. Through the use of this information you are able to complete the styles, at home – for a fraction of the cost of what the styles would cost in a regular salon. Through the use of these instructions there are often pictures included – which can be an added bonus to demonstrate multiple angles while taking advantage of the styles which are being completed.

Through the use of the internet there are many styles which are available, but people are also able to find hairstyle instructions for do it yourself hairstyles, especially for formal events through the use of popular hair magazines. These instructions are broken down and often easy enough for a beginner stylist to complete and therefore making it easy to look your best from a do it yourself style!

LongLocks be used to create many different hairstyles, with a variety of hair types and lengths, from shoulder length to very long hair. You can choose to use hair sticks as anchors for your hair style and show almost none of the stick, or in the case of the more beautifully ornate LongLocks hair accessories such as LongLocks RomanzaStix or LongLocks SugarStix, use them as decorative hair jewelry so more of the hand-finished detail of these one-of-a-kind hair sticks shows. The choice is entirely up to you.

Hair sticks are appropriate for everything from creating everyday styles, to formal hairstyles for prom, to romantic wedding updos. With extremely little practice you will find LongLocks HairSticks to be both versatile and essential tools in easily creating an elegant or even trendy look, and will even find yourself creating new styles of your own. The possibilities are endless!!

the straightest of strands to frizz. The key to reining in flyaways is blow-drying with a round boar-bristle brush—best for smoothing out the hair cuticle and reducing unruliness.
